Hanmi and Novartis Korea held a celebration for co-marketing Galvus and Galvus Met at the seminar for Hanmi's sales MR and made a pledge to work together for their success.

Galvus is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, the incretin breakdown enzyme which potentiates the secretion of Insulin. Galvus is a key product among Norvatis' pipeline for diabetes and Galvus Met is a single-pill fixed-dose combination of Galvus (vildagliptin) and metformin.

Hanmi pharmaceutical is strengthening its position in the field of diabetes by conducting a global clinical trial for 'Quantum Project', the R&D project for diabetes. In addition, Novartis Korea is trying to take the lead in Korean diabetes market, to make Galvus and Galvus Met the top brand among DPP-4 pharmacological class.

Both parties plan to further expand their strategic partnerships, taking this opportunity as their first step.
